About Mazi Inc.

Craftsmanship, held to a tolerance.

Mazi Inc. is a boutique mechanical design consultancy in Airdrie, Alberta. The work joins an old idea — that a maker signs what they build — to modern parametric CAD, analysis, and fabrication-ready documentation.

The mark

Ome Nka.

In Igbo, ome nka is the one who works with skill — the craftsman, the maker. It is the heritage Mazi Inc. was founded on, and it sets a standard that has nothing to do with software: a craftsman knows the piece will carry their name, so the piece is finished properly before it leaves the bench.

In practice that means a model you can actually build from. Drawings a fabricator can quote without a phone call. A revision trail a maintenance team can still follow in five years. The heritage is cultural; the standard it sets is entirely technical.

Who you work with

One engineer, start to finish.

Mazi Inc. is led by Uche Ajuonuma. When you send a part, a sketch, or a problem description, it goes to the person who will model it, draw it, check it, and hand it back — not into a queue that reassigns it three times.

That is the trade-off a boutique practice makes on purpose. You do not get a department. You get direct access, fast decisions, and one person carrying the context of your equipment from the first call through to the final drawing package.

Mission

Deliver precise, reliable, and innovative engineering solutions that combine craftsmanship with modern engineering excellence.

Vision

To be the boutique mechanical design consultancy Canadian industry turns to for speed, quality, and premium deliverables.

How the work runs

Six steps, every project, no surprises.

Intake

Scope, timeline, and agreement settled before modelling starts, so both sides know what is being delivered and when.

Concept development

Sketches and early parametric models to establish geometry and test the approach while changes are still cheap.

Detailed modelling

Parts, assemblies, and bills of material built out to the level of detail the shop floor actually needs.

Analysis & verification

Stress, thermal, and fit checks run against the governing load cases before anything is released for fabrication.

Review & revision

Client approval at defined milestones, with revisions tracked so the change history stays legible later.

Delivery

An organised package — native CAD, PDFs, and drawings in a consistent folder structure, with a recorded walkthrough on signature packages.

Capability stack

The tools behind the deliverable.

Mazi Inc. works in the same software your fabricators, OEMs, and internal engineering teams already use, so files arrive in a format that is useful rather than one that needs translating first.

Who we work with

Built for teams who make real things.

Industrial maintenance

Mining, potash, and chemical plant teams needing equipment documented, modified, or recreated.

Fabrication shops & OEMs

Shops and manufacturers who need clean, quotable drawing packages rather than sketches.

Startups & innovators

Product teams taking a concept through to a prototype that can actually be manufactured.

Engineering firms

Mid-sized firms needing overflow design capacity without adding permanent headcount.

Signature offerings

Beyond the standard drawing package.

MaziFast

On-call rapid response for the days a machine is down and the drawing does not exist.

Ome Nka packages

The signature handover: clean deliverables, full documentation, and a recorded walkthrough.

Automation & configurators

iLogic rules and templates that turn a repeated design task into a driven, repeatable output.

Legacy & digital twin

Undocumented equipment modelled back into a usable, accurate digital record.

Send the part, the sketch, or the problem.

You do not need a finished brief to start. Photos, measurements, a worn component, or a description of what keeps failing is enough for a useful first conversation.
